MAKERS4ALL helps SU4SU with protective equipment for Suriname

Via one of the MAKERS of MAKERS4ALL, we received an emergency call from SU4SU: In Suriname, a humanitarian disaster is looming as the number of corona infections increases every day. There is a great shortage of protective equipment.

SU4SU (Surinamese for Suriname) is an organization founded by journalist Hennah Draaibaar and entrepreneur Jules Fernandes, to collect money and contribute to the maintenance of the facilities necessary for the reception and treatment of COVID-19 infected patients in Suriname. It is nice to see that the local business community has contributed to the purchase of hospital equipment, but there are enormous shortages of protective equipment for hospital staff, police and other contact professions!

We can help! The MAKERS of MAKERS4ALL have already made and sent about 3400 Face-Shields and 1900 Clips. And we are still at it! Every week a number of them can join the KLM flight (KLM offers free transport). SU4SU ensures that the protective equipment ends up in the right places.

But that's not all: SU4SU has put us in touch with a very enthusiastic and skilled MAKER in Suriname, who has also found other passionate multi-talents. They have joined MAKERS4ALL and will jointly undertake the “regional coordination” for Suriname, to facilitate the other MAKERS there, who want to help make protective equipment.
